SUPERINTENDENT – JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Superintendent oversees each step of the construction project from start to completion. The superintendent manages the project crew, communicates with subcontractors, and performs operations on the construction site.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Track schedule and budget progression.

· Review timecards and invoices for proper coding.

· Communicate with the Equipment Manager to ensure correct equipment is on the jobsite when needed.

· Enforce safety protocols, inspect and correct any jobsite hazards, and ensure equal employment requirements are being met.

· Supervise crew, interview, select qualified candidate(s), and communicate effectively.

· Maintain contact with subcontractors, their staff, and others included in the completion of the project.

· Communicate with the Project Manager.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

· Must be willing to travel.

· 5+ years of experience in the construction field.

· Experience in supervision/management of crews.

· OSHA certificate is preferred.

· Ability to understand specifications, drawings, blueprints, etc.
